September is fast approaching us and this means it’s almost time for ArtsFest. ArtsFest is a free arts festival that takes place every year, and it’s fantastic that Birmingham can put on such an event. There will be around 600 arts event taking place over the weekend of the 10th and 11th September 2011.

There’s so much going on during this weekend, from live music, dance, theatre, comedy, exhibitions, talks and workshops. Saturday evenings are a real treat because they have the CBSO, Birmingham Royal Ballet and the Birmingham Opera Company on the main stage, performing highlights of their Autumn programme. The concert then ends with fireworks going off to the sound of the orchestra. It’s magic and again it’s completely free.

This year is particularly special for me because I’ll have a stand showcasing my signed limited edition Giclee prints. This is the first time I’ll be taking part in ArtsFest, and my stand will be in ArtSpace Art Fair in Victoria Square.

If you are free over the weekend of the 10th and 11th of September and in search for something fun to do, come to Birmingham and enjoy the experience that is ArtsFest.
